Bite Size Education

Courses, training & events

A monthly evening study club to help local dentists develop their own skill set in small, informal, hands-on sessions in our Training Room at Cirencester Dental Practice.

Dr Ross Cutts

Welcome to Bite Size Education

Bite Size Education is a monthly evening study club in our Training Room, with 2 hours of verifiable CPD, co-founded by Dr Ross Cutts and Dr Gavin Ho Fat.

It is aimed at local dentists looking to develop their skills and gain confidence in a variety of clinical skills, from the simple to the complex treatment options.

Our events

The aim of Bite Size Education is for Ross and Dr Gavin Ho Fat, the co-founders of Bite Size, to help practitioners develop their clinical skills in small, informal, hands-on sessions in our Training Room at Cirencester Dental Practice.

  • About one evening a month, usually 6:30pm to 8:30pm, with access and refreshments from 6pm.
  • 2 hours of verifiable CPD for each evening. Longer courses carry more, and the course page always says how much.
  • Theory and hands-on: each evening includes both theoretical and hands-on elements.
  • Most evenings are free. Where a course has a fee, it is shown on the course page.
  • Venue: most evenings are in our Training Room, The Old Post Office, 12 Castle Street, Cirencester GL7 1QA. Some, including ITI Study Club meetings, are at other venues in Cirencester; the course page always gives the venue.
  • Who can come: dentists. Some evenings are also open to hygienists and therapists; the course page says so.

Topics

A wide variety of topics are planned and are covered by all members of the team, including our dentists with special interests in periodontics and endodontics, and by guest speakers. Recent evenings have covered composites, crowns, onlays and veneers, extraction technique and basic surgery, occlusion, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics with aligners, and restoring and maintaining implants.

About us

Dr Ross Cutts opened Cirencester Dental Practice in January 2010 and also runs Stow-on-the-Wold Dental Practice, with the aim of delivering high-quality general, implant and cosmetic dentistry to patients of all ages.

We take referrals from other dentists for dental implants, CBCT and OPT scans, surgical treatment (wisdom teeth and difficult extractions), gum (periodontal), root canal (endodontic), orthodontic, denture and IV sedation treatment. CBCT and OPT scans and gum and root canal referrals are seen at Cirencester only.

We can also accept patient referrals

At Cirencester Dental Practice and Stow-on-the-Wold Dental Practice we believe in working closely with our referring practices in terms of treatment, education and sharing knowledge.

We always aim to book your patient in as soon as possible, keep you informed throughout their journey with us, and return them to your care for their ongoing maintenance once treatment is complete.
