COVID-19 Practice Attendance from March 2022

Our Safety Steps for Visiting the Practice

The Chief Dental Officer has confirmed that current standard operating procedures will remain in place for Dentistry. Therefore, to ensure the safety of our staff and patients, Cirencester Dental Practice will be continuing to maintain the following steps, regardless of individuals’ Covid vaccination status.

Before your appointment

24-48 hours before your appointment, you’ll receive an email and/or SMS asking you to complete your ESSENTIAL FORMS either online, or over the telephone. This will include completing/updating your Medical History Form* and a Pre-Appointment Questionnaire for every visit. (* An update is legally required every 6 months.)

If you have been abroad less than 10-days prior to attending the practice, please let us know so that we can discuss with you whether or not it is necessary to rearrange your appointment.

Please cancel/reschedule your appointment if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms and/or has been asked to self-isolate.

Before you enter the practice

Please wear a mask/face-covering as we will be unable to admit you to the practice without one.

Please don’t arrive too early or be late for your appointment. This will help us maintain social distancing by avoiding a ‘build-up’ of patients either outside or within the practice.

Please don’t bring anyone else into the practice with you unless necessary. Exceptions include a parent/guardian of children under 18 years old, or a carer/chaperone.

We are operating a closed-door policy, so on arrival please press the doorbell/intercom and wait outside – our Receptionists are able to see you though it and will respond as soon as they’re able allowing for phone calls and patients at the desk.

One of our Dental Nurses or Receptionists will be down to collect you when the Surgery is ready for you.

Inside the practice

Our staff will be wearing appropriate PPE to ensure your safety.

You will have your temperature taken and will be required to use the antibacterial gel provided as you enter the practice.

Please help us to maintain safe social distancing in Reception and waiting areas for everyone’s safety.

Plastic screens have been installed on our Reception Desk and all areas of the practice are regularly cleaned.

After your appointment

To keep you safe, we’ll ask you to use contactless/card payment instead of cash whenever possible.

You can book any future appointments or follow-ups with our Receptionists.
