Profile: Dr Joao Souteiro
Joao qualified from the University of Porto in 2012 and has worked in the Cotswolds since moving to the UK in 2014. He completed a Master's in Implantology at the University of Bristol in 2019 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodontics with Perioacademy (London) in 2024, and is now studying for an MSc in Periodontics at Bristol. His particular clinical interest is the diagnosis and management of complex gum disease and peri-implant conditions. He is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and the European Federation of Periodontology, and often works with referring colleagues on advanced gum care, implant treatment and sedation.
What happens next
We book your patient in for a periodontal consultation, including dental X-rays, as soon as possible. A CBCT scan is taken at Cirencester if needed.
Your patient is reviewed, treated and reassessed as their plan requires.
You are kept fully informed of your patient's treatment before they return to your care for their ongoing maintenance.
