Every implant referral, seen by Dr Ross Cutts

Dr Ross Cutts sees every implant referral personally. Refer at whatever level suits you and your patient: for advice on a case, for implant placement only, for grafting and placement, or for the whole treatment. Implant treatment is available at both our Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold practices. When treatment is complete, your patient returns to you for their continuing dental care.

Levels of referral

The referral form gives five options for implant referrals. Tick the one that matches what you would like us to do.

  1. Assessment advice. A consultation with Ross to discuss and explore the treatment options for your patient.

  2. Problems and diagnosis. If your patient has a problem you would like Ross to diagnose, describe it under "reason for referral" on the form.

  3. Surgical placement only. Ross places the implant and you restore it at your practice.

  4. Augmentation and surgical placement. Bone grafting or sinus augmentation, with implant placement.

  5. Surgical placement and restoration. A full case referral: we carry out the assessment, planning, surgery and restoration, then return your patient to your practice for their continuing care. You can refer for a single tooth, multiple teeth, complex cases or edentulous treatment.

Only need a scan? See CBCT & OPT scan referrals.

Gauging a case before you refer

To assess the complexity of a case, you can use the ITI's clinical assessment tool (the SAC Assessment Tool).

Your patient in our hands

Whatever the level of your implant referral, we undertake to:

  • contact your patient straight away to arrange their initial implant consultation as soon as possible
  • give your patient a full written explanation and detailed costings of all the proposed treatment and options, so they are comfortable and confident about the treatment they are starting
  • write to you to confirm the referral and keep you updated at every stage of your patient's implant treatment
  • write to you to confirm when your patient has completed treatment with us and is returning to your care.

Every stage with one team

Your patient isn't sent elsewhere for different parts of their implant treatment. Everything from the initial consultation and CBCT scan to the final restoration is carried out by our own team, so your patient doesn't need to travel to another provider. CBCT scans are taken at our Cirencester practice.

How to refer

Refer online through our encrypted referral form. You can attach radiographs.

Or download the referral form, tick Implant referrals, the level of referral and the practice your patient would prefer, and send it to the address on the form. If you email it, please also post the original signed copy.
