Dental implant case studies
These cases come from our practice archive. Each one follows a real patient's treatment in photographs, from the first appointment to the fitted teeth, with a short note on what was done at each stage. To see cases like yours, look at one missing tooth, several missing teeth or all of your teeth.

About these photographs
These are clinical photographs taken at each stage of treatment, so some show stages such as stitches or healing gums. Some are taken with the lips gently held back, or with a small mirror, so you can see the teeth and gums clearly.
Each case is shown with the patient's permission. Every mouth is different, so your own treatment, how long it takes and the result will depend on your situation and the plan we agree with you.
Words you may see
- Abutment: the connector that sits on the implant and holds the crown, bridge or denture.
- Healing abutment: a temporary cap that shapes the gum while the implant settles.
- Guided bone regeneration: building up the bone around an implant with graft material.
- Emergence profile: the shape of the gum where a tooth comes out of it.
- Impression post or scan body: a small part fitted to the implant so its exact position can be copied for the laboratory, by a mould or a digital scan.
- Overdenture: a denture that fits over implants and is held in place by them.
